Hylkje er et sted som tilhører Åsane bydel i Bergen kommune i Hordaland. Stedet ligger ved Sørfjorden, på nordøstsiden av Bergenshalvøyen. E39 går gjennom Hylkje. Navnet Hylkje er et dialektord for en treamber til å bære melk i på ryggen, og henspiller på landskapets form.

På Hylkjeneset ligger Åsane folkehøgskole, som åpnet i 1966 og eies av IOGT i Norge. Ved utløpet av Hylkjeelven (Haukåsvassdraget) i Hylkjevågen har det vært drevet møllebruk og senere ullspinneri. Lokalene etter ullspinneriet huser i dag motorsykkelklubben Old Timers MC.
Hylkje omfattes av grunnkretsene Hylkje og Almås, med totalt 1 324 innbyggere 1. januar 2012, og et samlet areal på 3,77 km². Hylkje ble regnet som et eget tettsted, inkludert tettbebyggelsen ved Breistein i sør, inntil 2012, da beregningsmetodikken ble endret, og det ble slått sammen med Bergen tettsted[1].
I området ligger også gårder oppdelt i flere bruk: Hylkje, Tuft og Almås med de kulturhistoriske Almåsgårdene.
