Haugesund Maritime Høgskole (HMH) var en høgskole for maritim utdanning, etablert i Haugesund i 1981, med virksomhet fra januar 1982.[1][2] Skolen het tidligere Haugesund navigasjonsskole, og var opprinnelig etablert i 1874.[3][4] Skolen ble i 1991 fusjonert inn i Statens sikkerhetshøgskole,[5] og er fra 1994 en del av Høgskolen Stord/Haugesund.
I tillegg til maritim sertifikat-utdanning begynte skolen i 1985 å gi alle studenter et tilbud om toårig økonomisk-administrativ utdanning. Dette kom i stand fordi en skulle ha økonomiske og administrative fag i sjøkapteinsutdanningen – og med det kunne en også tilby det til andre studenter. I 1988 vedtok Stortinget at den maritime sertifikatutdanningen for alle skipsstørrelser skulle gis av den videregående skolen. Men utdanningen skulle også gis i høgskolesystemet. Dette rev på mange måter bort studentgrunnlaget for de maritime høgskolene. Ledelsen ved HMH gikk derfor inn for å opprette en treårig ingeniørhøgskole ved HMH som skulle utdanne maskin-, elektro- og sikkerhetsingeniører.
Da høgskolen startet i 1981 var den eid av fylkeskommunen, men den ble snart statseid.
