Bolesław Prus (egentlig Aleksander Głowacki; født 20. august 1847 i Hrubieszów, død 19. mai 1912 i Warszawa) var en polsk forfatter og publisist av den positivistiske æra, særlig kjent for sine romaner Lalka og Faraon.

Som 15-åring kjempet han som soldat i januaroppstanden 1863, hvor han ble sterkt skadet og sendt til fengsel i Lublin av de tsaristisk-russiske autoritene. I en alder av 25 begynte han sin 40 års lange karriere som journalist i Warszawa, og begynte samtidig å skrive noveller.
Mellom 1886 og 1895 skrev Prus ferdig sine fire store romaner, blant annet de populære Lalka og Faraon. Faraon – Prus’ eneste historiske roman – reflekterer den polske nasjons erfaringer fra det forrige århundre, og gir samtidig et unikt bilde av oldtidens Egypt mot slutten av det 20. egyptiske dynasti og Det nye rike.
