Bad Homburg eller Bad Homburg vor der Höhe er en by i Tyskland i delstaten Hessen og forvaltningssentrum for Hochtaunuskreis.

Byen ligger i Rhein-Main-området ved den sørlige fjellsiden av Taunus og grenser i nord mot kommunen Wehrheim og byen Friedrichsdorf, i øst mot byene Rosbach vor der Höhe og Karben, i syd til Frankfurt am Main, i vest mot byen Oberursel og i nordvest mot byen Neu-Anspach.
Byen er blant annet kjent for de medisinske mineralvannkildene og kurbadene (derfor Bad i navnet) og for kasinoet.
I dag er Bad Homburg igjen en av de rikeste byene i Tyskland, mye på grunn av nærheten til Frankfurt, og mange direktører og ansatte i bankene i Frankfurt bor i Bad Homburg.[trenger referanse]

Byen ble grunnlagt rundt 1180 og fikk byretter rundt 1330.
Fredrik I av Hessen-Homburg grunnla landgrevskapet Hessen-Homburg, og Fredrik II (1680 – 1708) ble kjent som fyrste av Homburg. Etter den østerriksk-prøyssiske krigen i 1866 ble byen en del av Preussen. Da kurbadet og kasinoet åpnet på midten av 1800-tallet ble byen et internasjonalt kjent kursted, særlig for russiske adelsfolk.[trenger referanse]
Spaindustrien begynte da man oppdaget Elisabethenbrønnen i 1834. Den første bygningen tilknyttet badet og det første kasinoet ble bygget i 1841–1842 av brødrene François (1806–1877) og Louis Blanc (1806–1852), som senere tok over kasinoet i Monte Carlo. I 1860 fikk byen jernbaneforbindelse med Frankfurt am Main.
I 1888 ble Bad Homburg kjent gjennom hele Det tyske keiserriket da keiser Vilhelm II erklærte slottet i Bad Homburg som sin sommerresidens.
Kurbadet gikk dårlig i krigsårene, men tok seg kraftig opp igjen i etterkrigstiden og gjennom siste halvdelen av 1900-tallet var byen et populært feriested for rikfolk.[trenger referanse]
30. november 1989 ble Alfred Herrhausen, direktør for Deutsche Bank, drept av en bilbombe i Bad Homburg. Det ble hevdet at dette var et angrep fra Rote Armee Fraktion, men dette ble aldri avklart.[trenger referanse]
