Vollmer Island er ei isdekt øy som ligg langs kanten av Sulzberger isbrem, 7 nautiske mil (13 km) nordvest for Cronenwett Island. Det ser ut til at øya vart først observert og grovt kartlagd frå flyfoto teken under Byrd-ekspedisjonen, 1928-30, Ho vart namngjeven av Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) etter løytnant T.H. Vollmer i U.S. Navy, leiande ingeniør ombord på USS «Glacier» langs denne kysten, 1961-62.
