Nationaltheatret i Oslo er, ved sida av Den Nationale Scene og Det Norske Teatret, ei av dei tre norske hovudscenene for teaterkunst. Bygningen som har fasadar i hovudsak av gul maskintegl og granitt, vart teikna av arkitekt Henrik Bull, som vann ei arkitekttevling om oppdraget i 1891.[1]
Den opphavlege teatersalen (Hovedscenen) er innreidd i nyrokokkostil. I tillegg er det seinare innreidd to andre scener i bygningen: Amfiscenen og Malersalen. Teatret opna den 1. september 1899. Bygningen vart freda etter lov om kulturminne i 1983.
Bull teikna òg sjokoladen Lohengrin som frå 1911 og nokre år framover berre var til sals i Nationaltheatret.
Den første sjefen på Nationaltheatret var Bjørn Bjørnson, son til Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. Teatersjef frå 1. januar 2009 er Hanne Tømta.[2]
Den administrative delen av Torshovteatret er òg tillagt Nationaltheatret.
