Slaget ved St. John's var eit slag ved St. John's på Newfoundland der franskmennene erobra den britiske kolonien Newfoundland, den 21. desember 1708jul./ 1. januar 1709greg. under Dronning Anne-krigen. Ein blanda og brokete styrke på 164 menn leia av Joseph de Monbeton de Brouillan de Saint-Ovide, løytnant for Philippe Pastour de Costebelle, den franske guvernøren i Plaisance, klarte raskt å ta den britiske garnisonen i St. John's, og tok kring 500 fangar.

Costebelle, som hadde for få ressursar til å halde St. John's, øydela festningsverka og forlet staden i april 1709. Han vart seinare gjenerobra av britane. Dei franske koloniutpostane på Newfoundland vart fråreiste etter Frankrike avstod kontrollen over øya til Storbritannia i 1713 med freden i Utrecht. Dei fleste franske nybyggjarane vart flytta til Île-Royale, som i dag heiter Cape Breton Island.
