Leonard Paul Carpenter (Chicago 6 februari 1948) is een Amerikaans fantasyschrijver.
Carpenter vooral bekend door de elf romans die hij schreef over Conan de Barbaar, naar het personage van Robert E. Howard. Verder schreef hij enkele korte verhalen.
