Eric Vandermeulen debuteerde in 2008 met zijn kinderboek Stikkeloers, een verhaal over echtscheiding, overspel en jaloezie. Naast schrijver is hij pianodocent aan de Academie voor Muziek en Woordkunst van Berchem.
