Volgens de stelling van Liouville is elke begrensde complexe analytische functie constant. Dit betekent: Als voor een holomorfe functie een reëel getal bestaat zo dat voor elke , dan is een constante functie.
De stelling van Liouville laat zien wat een sterke eigenschap holomorfe differentieerbaarheid voor een complexe functie is. De stelling kan onder andere in het bewijs van de hoofdstelling van de algebra worden gebruikt. De stelling is naar de Franse wiskundige Joseph Liouville (1809-1882) genoemd.
