Heulestein is een voormalig kasteel bij Montfoort in de Nederlandse provincie Utrecht.

In 1320 gaf graaf Willem III van Holland deze grond aan Roelof de Rover, broer van burggraaf Zweder I van Montfoort, op voorwaarde dat deze er een 'steenhuus' zou bouwen. In 1345 sneuvelde hij tijdens de Slag bij Warns, in het leger van graaf Willem IV. Roelofs zoon, Hendrik de Rover van Heulestein, raakte zwaargewond.
In 1384 deed Hubrecht Heulestein over aan zijn broer burggraaf Hendrik III van Montfoort. De zoon van burggraaf Hendrik III, Jan II van Montfoort, bekleedde onder gravin Jacoba van Beieren belangrijke functies als thesaurier en stadhouder van Holland. Hij steunde Jacoba in haar strijd tegen haar oom Jan van Beieren. Eind oktober 1418 werd er een bestand gesloten en vroeg Jan van Montfoort haar toestemming om Heulestein af te breken. Die toestemming werd op 26 november 1418 verleend.
Op het kasteelterrein staat nu een boerderij. De slotgracht is nog aan drie zijden aanwezig.
