Jalan Macalister ialah jalan utama di bandar George Town di Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. Jalan ini terbentang dari Magazine Circus bersebelahan dengan Komtar di pusat bandar menuju pinggir barat bandar.

Jalan ini dinamakan sempena salah satu daripada Gabenor Pulau Pinang pada awal abad ke-19.[1] Pada asalnya sebuah trek tanah, bahagian timur Jalan Macalister telah menjadi dibangunkan sebagai sebahagian daripada pusat bandar. Terutama, bahagian paling barat jalan Macalister masih mengekalkan watak yang lebih senyap dan mesra, dengan pokok angsana matang yang memberikan naungan di sepanjang bahagian ini di jalan.[2]
Jalan Macalister dinamakan sebagai penghormatan kepada seorang Scotsman, Kolonel Norman Macalister, yang menjabat sebagai Gabenor Pulau Putera Wales (kini Pulau Pinang) antara 1808 dan 1810.[1][2]
Semasa era penjajah, orang Eropah cenderung untuk membina kediaman mereka di Jalan Macalister.[3] Pokok angsana yang tinggi ditanam di sepanjang bahagian barat Jalan Macalister oleh Charles Curtis, yang merupakan kurator Taman Botani Pulau Pinang pada akhir abad ke-19.[4] Sebagai tambahan kepada pokok angsana dan baobab, yang ditanam oleh Kapten Speedy, ditanam di bahagian Macalister Road ini dan masih kekal di tempat yang sama hingga ke hari ini; ia adalah salah satu daripada tiga baobab di Pulau Pinang.[2]
Di antara kediaman Eropah di kawasan Jalan Macalister ini ialah Mayfair, Union Villa dan Seri Teratai, yang merupakan kediaman rasmi Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang.[2] Sekolah St. George's Girls, salah satu sekolah bahasa Inggeris utama di Pulau Pinang, telah dipindahkan ke kawasan sekarang ini di Jalan Macalister pada tahun 1954.
Di sebelah timur, Hospital Memorial Raja Edward VII, dinamakan sempena Raja Edward VII yang merupakan raja British antara 1901 dan 1910, telah siap pada tahun 1915. Hospital bersalin ini beroperasi sehingga tahun 1955; bangunan kini menempatkan sebuah cawangan Muzium Negeri dan Galeri Seni Pulau Pinang.[5]
Pada tahun 2013, ribut petir membawa kepada kejatuhan menara Umno Menara, bertingkat tinggi di bahagian timur Jalan Macalister.[6][7]
