Bilangan

Bilangan (juga: kuantiti) adalah satu jenis sifat yang wujud sebagai suatu magnitud (saiz) atau banyak. Ia berada di kalangan kelas asas sesuatu benda bersama-sama dengan mutu, bahan, perubahan, dan hubungan. Kuantiti pertama kali diperkenalkan sebagai kuantum, satu entiti mempunyai kuantiti. Oleh kerana ia sebagai satu istilah asas, kuantiti digunakan untuk merujuk apa-apa jenis sifat kuantitatif atau lambang sesuatu benda. Beberapa bilangan dibentuk oleh semulajadi dalaman mereka (contohnya nombor), manakala yang lainnya berfunsi sebagai keadaan (sifat, dimensi, lambang) benda-benda seperti berat dan ringan, panjang atau pendek, lebar dan sempit, kecil dan besar atau banyak dan sedikit. Satu bentuk banyak, banyaknya digunakan untuk menyebut bahawa ada benda yang akan berlaku. Satu kuantiti kecil kadangkala dirujuk sebagai satu kuantulum.
