- ग्रीक भूगोलतज्ञ स्ट्राबो याने जियोग्राफी हा ग्रंथ रचला. यात त्याकाळच्या ग्रीक व ऑगस्टसच्या काळच्या रोमन लोकांना माहिती असलेल्या जगाबद्दल माहिती होती. आत्तापर्यंत उपलब्ध असलेला हा जगातील सगळ्यात जुना भौगोलिक ग्रंथ मानला जातो.[1]
