പോൾ ആറാമൻ മാർപാപ്പ ( ലത്തീൻ: Paulus VI  ; ഇറ്റാലിയൻ: Paolo VI  ; ഇറ്റാലിയൻ, ജിയോവാനി ബാറ്റിസ്റ്റ എൻറിക്കോ അന്റോണിയോ മരിയ മോണ്ടിനി ജനിച്ചത് 26 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 1897 ആണ്. കത്തോലിക്കാ സഭയുടെ തലവനും 1963 ജൂൺ 21 മുതൽ 1978-ൽ മരണം വരെ വത്തിക്കാൻ സിറ്റി സ്റ്റേറ്റിന്റെ പരമാധികാരിയുമായിരുന്നു. ജോൺ ഇരുപത്തിമൂന്നാമന്റെ പിൻഗാമിയായി, അദ്ദേഹം രണ്ടാം വത്തിക്കാൻ കൗൺസിൽ തുടർന്നു, 1965-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം പരിസമാപ്തി കുറിച്ചു, അതിന്റെ നിരവധി പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങൾ നടപ്പിലാക്കി. കിഴക്കൻ ഓർത്തഡോക്സ്, പ്രൊട്ടസ്റ്റന്റ് പള്ളികളുമായി അദ്ദേഹം മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ ബന്ധം വളർത്തിയെടുത്തു, ഇത് ചരിത്രപരമായ നിരവധി മീറ്റിംഗുകളിലും കരാറുകളിലും കലാശിച്ചു.
