ഒരു കോമിക് കാർട്ടൂൺ കഥാപാത്രമാണ് മിക്കി മൗസ്. ദ വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്നി കമ്പനിയുടെ ഐക്കൺ ഈ കഥാപാത്രമാണിത്. 1928-ൽ വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്നി, യൂബി ല്വെർക്ക് എന്നിവർ ചേർന്നാണ് മിക്കി മൗസിനെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിച്ചത്. ആദ്യകാലങ്ങളിൽ ശബ്ദം നൽകിയിരുന്നത് വാൾട്ട് ഡിസ്നി തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. സ്റ്റീംബോട്ട് വില്ലി പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ദിവസമായ നവംബർ 18, 1928 ആണ് ഡിസ്നി കമ്പനി ഈ കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ ജന്മദിനമായി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നത്. മനുഷ്യസ്വഭാവമുള്ള ഈ എലി അനിമേറ്റഡ് കാർട്ടൂണുകളിലേയും കോമിക് സ്ട്രിപ്പുകളിലേയും ഒരു കഥാപാത്രം എന്നതിൽനിന്ന് ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പരിചിതമായ ചിഹ്നങ്ങളിലൊന്നായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്.[1] [2] [3]
