മലുകു ദ്വീപുകൾ

ഇന്തോനേഷ്യയുടെ ഭാഗമായ ഒരു ദ്വീപസമൂഹമാണ് മലുകു ദ്വീപുകൾ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മൊളുക്കാസ് /məˈlʌkəz/ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. മൊളുക്ക സീ കൊളിഷൻ മേഖലയ്ക്കുള്ളിൽ ഹിമാലയൻ ടെക്ടോണിക് പ്ലേറ്റിനുള്ളിലാണ് മലുകു ദ്വീപുകളുടെ സ്ഥാനം. സുലവേസിക്ക് കിഴക്കും, ന്യൂ ഗിനിയയ്ക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറും, തിമോറിന് വടക്കും കിഴക്കും വശങ്ങളിലായുമാണ് ഈ ദ്വീപുക‌ൾ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ചൈ‌നക്കാരും യൂറോപ്യന്മാരും സ്പൈസ് ദ്വീപുകൾ എന്നാണ് ഈ ദ്വീപുകളെ പണ്ട് വിളിച്ചിരുന്നത്.
