നക്ബ ദിനം

പലസ്തീനിലെ ജൂതകുടിയേറ്റത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് ഇസ്രയേൽ രൂപീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെ ദുരന്തസ്മരണയായി അറബ് വംശജർ മെയ് 15 ന് നക്ബ ദിനം (Arabic: يوم النكبة Yawm an-Nakba, meaning "ദുരന്തദിവസം") ആചരിച്ചുവരുന്നു. ഇസ്രയേലിന്റെ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യദിനത്തിന്റെ പിറ്റേദിവസമാണ് സാധാരണയായി നക്ബ ആചരിക്കുന്നത്. 1948ലെ ഇസ്രയേൽ പ്രഖ്യാപനത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായി പലസ്തീൻ ജനതയുടെ പലായനത്തെ അനുസ്മരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ് നക്ബ നടക്കുന്നത്^[1]. 1998ൽ യാസർ അറഫാത്ത് ഔദ്യോഗികമായ നക്ബ ആചരണം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു.^{[അവലംബം ആവശ്യമാണ്]}

1948-ൽ ആരംഭിച്ച അഭയാർത്ഥി പ്രവാഹത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായി നിലവിൽ 50 ലക്ഷത്തോളം പലസ്തീനികൾ ജോർദാൻ, സിറിയ, ലെബനാൻ, പടിഞ്ഞാറേക്കര, ഗസ്സ തുടങ്ങിയ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലാണ് ഉള്ളത്^[2]. ഈ ദുരന്തത്തെയാണ് നക്ബ എന്ന പേരിൽ അനുസ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്^[6][7][8].
