ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കേന്ദ്ര വാണിജ്യ-വ്യവസായ മന്ത്രിയാണ് ആനന്ദ് ശർമ. 1953 ജനുവരി 5-ന് ഹിമാചൽ പ്രദേശിലെ ഷിംലയിൽ ജനിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യൻ നാഷ്ണൽ കോൺഗ്രസ് അംഗമാണ്. രാജ്യസഭാംഗമായ ഇദ്ദേഹം ഹിമാചൽ പ്രദേശിനെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിക്കുന്നു. വിദേശകാര്യ സഹമന്ത്രിയായും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയായിരിക്കെത്തന്നെ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിൽ സജീവമായിരുന്നു. അക്കാലത്ത് യൂത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസ് പ്രസിഡന്റായിട്ടുണ്ട്.
