ഒരു ജർമ്മൻ-ഡച്ച് സസ്യശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞൻ ആണ് കാൾ ലുഡ്‌വിഗ് ബ്ല്യൂം (9 June 1796, Braunschweig – 3 February 1862, Leiden). ജർമ്മനിയിലെ ബ്രാവുൺഷ്വീഗിൽ ജനിച്ചു. ഡച്ച് ഈസ്റ്റ് ഇൻഡീസിലും നെതർലാന്റിലും ജോലിചെയ്തു. ലെയ്ഡനിലെ സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ഹെർബേറിയത്തിലെ ഡയറക്ടർ ആയിരുന്നു.
അന്നത്തെ ഡച്ച് കോളനിയായിരുന്ന തെക്കനേഷ്യയിലെ ജാവയിലെ സസ്യങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി പഠിച്ചു. 1823 മുതൽ 1826 വരെ ബോഗോറിലെ ബോട്ടാണിക് ബ്ഗാർഡന്റെ ഡപ്പ്യൂട്ടി ഡയറക്റ്റർ ആയിരുന്നു. 1855ൽ റോയൽ സ്വീഡിഷ് അക്കാഡമിയുടെ വിദേശ അംഗത്വം ലഭിച്ചു. [1]
