നൈജീരിയയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഇസ്ലാം മതത്തിന്റെ പേരിലുള്ള ഒരു തീവ്രവാദ ഗ്രൂപ്പാണ് ബോകോ ഹറാം എന്ന സംഘടന. പ്രാദേശിക ഭാഷയിൽ "പാശ്ചാത്യ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം വിലക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു" എന്നാണ് ബോകോ ഹറാം എന്ന പേരിന്റെ അർത്ഥം.മുഹമ്മദ് യൂസഫാണ് 2002ൽ ഈ സംഘടനയ്ക്ക് രൂപം നൽകിയത്. നൈജീരിയയിലെ വടക്ക് കിഴക്കാൻ മേഖലയിലെ ബോർനൊ എന്ന സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് 2009ൽ ആണ് ബോകോ ഹറാം രൂപം കൊണ്ടത്‌. വിവിധ സംഘട്ടനങ്ങളിലായി 1200 ൽ അധികം ആളുകൾ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
