2021 മാർച്ച് 3-ന് പൊതുസഭ അംഗീകരിച്ച പ്രമേയത്തിലൂടെ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്രസഭ 2023 ചെറുധാന്യങ്ങളുടെ വർഷമായി ആചരിക്കുവാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[2]
