രാഷ്ട്രകൂടരാജവംശത്തിലെ പ്രധാനിയായ ഭരണാധികാരിയായിരുന്നു ധ്രുവ അഥവാ ധ്രുവ ധരാവർഷ. ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കാലത്ത് രാഷ്ട്രകൂട ശക്തി ഉത്തരേന്ത്യയിലേക്കും വ്യാപിച്ചു. ഇദ്ദേഹം വിന്ധ്യ പർവ്വതം കടന്നു ഗുർജ്ജര രാജാവിനെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തി. [1] സൂര്യനാഥ കാമത്തിന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ ധ്രുവയുടെ ഭരണകാലം 780–793 CE ആണെന്നു കാണാം.[2] എങ്കിലും 793 വരെ ഇദ്ദേഹം രാജ്യഭരണം നിർവ്വഹിച്ചു എന്ന് ഉറപ്പാക്കാം.
