ദറാഹ് ദേശീയോദ്യാനം

ഇന്ത്യയിൽ രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ദറാഹ് ദേശീയോദ്യാനം, ദറാഹ് വന്യജീവി സങ്കേതം, ചമ്പൽ വന്യമൃഗസംരക്ഷണകേന്ദ്രം, ജവഹർ സാഗർ വന്യമൃഗസംരക്ഷണകേന്ദ്രം എന്നീ മൂന്നു വന്യമൃഗസംരക്ഷണകേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ ചേർന്ന് 2004 -ൽ നിലവിൽ വന്ന ദേശീയോദ്യാനമാണ്. കത്തിയവാർ ഗിർ വരണ്ട ഇലകൊഴിയും വനപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലാണ് ഈ ദേശീയോദ്യാനം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. ^[3]

ചരിത്രം

ഈ ദേശീയോദ്യാനത്തിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന വനപ്രദേശങ്ങൾ മുമ്പ് രജപുത്രരാജാക്കന്മാർ വേട്ടയാടുന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. ഭാരതീയ ജനതാപാർട്ടി ഈ ദേശീയോദ്യാനത്തെ രാജീവ് ഗാന്ധി ദേശീയോദ്യാനം എന്ന് മാറ്റുന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ച് ധാരാളം രാഷ്ടീയ വാദപ്രതിവാദങ്ങൾ നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.^[4]

സീത മാതാ വന്യമൃഗസംരക്ഷണകേന്ദ്രത്തെപ്പോലെ ദറാഹ് ദേശീയോദ്യാനവും ഏഷ്യാറ്റിക് സിംഹങ്ങളെ പുനരധിവസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് പരിഗണിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്. ^[5][6] രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ^[7]സിംഹങ്ങളെയാണ് പുനഃരധിവസിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നതെങ്കിലും ഇപ്പോൾ ഗുജറാത്തിലെ ഗിർവനങ്ങളിലെ സിംഹങ്ങളെയും എടുക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ^[8]
