Маскат (арапски: مسقط, Masqaṭ) е најголемиот и главен град на Оман. Градот е седиште на владата и центар на покраината Маскат. Во 2008 година, метрополитенската област Маскат имала 1.090.797 жители[1]. Оваа поширока област зафаќа околу 1.500 км2 и е поделена на шест окрузи.

Маскат бил значаен трговски град низ историјата и поради тоа бил под владеење на различни народи и странски сили како на пример Персија или Португалија. Поради неговата местоположба и трговско значење, во градот се населиле и Персијци, Гуџарати и останати околни народи. Откако на трнот на Оман дошол султанот Кабос бин Саид, Маскат забележал голем инфраструктурен развој и развој на економијата.
Околу градот доминантни се карпестите планини Ал Хаџар. Градот се наоѓа на Оманскиот Залив и во близина на Ормускиот Проток. Градот е карактеристичен по ниските бели згради. Економијата на Маскат е застапена пред сè од трговијата и петролеум.
