Viljandis – miestas pietinėje Estijos dalyje, prie Viljandžio ežero. Viljandžio apskrities administracinis centras. Mašinų, lengvoji, medienos apdirbimo, maisto pramonė. Muziejus, išlikęs dvaras. Piečiau miesto telkšo Viljandžio ežeras. Kasmet liepos pabaigoje mieste vyksta Viljandžio folkloro festivalis. Veikia Tartu universiteto Viljandžio kultūros akademija.

1211 m. pirmąkart minima Viljandžio tvirtovė. Miestas rašytiniuose šaltiniuose paminėtas 1283 m. Livonijos ordinui priklausiusi Viljandžio pilis (vok. Fellin) buvo didžiausia visame Pabaltijyje. XIV a. priklausė Hanzos sąjungai. 1560 m. pilį užėmė Rusija. Per Lenkijos-Švedijos karą XVII a. pradžioje pilis buvo sugriauta. 1783 m. Viljandis gavo miesto statusą.
