Lukna – nedidelis upelis Utenos ir Anykščių rajonų paribyje, tekantis nuo Pakalnių (Leliūnų sen.) iki Nevėžos ežero (Skiemonių sen.). Priklauso Šventosios upės baseinui, ilgis – 15,2 km, baseino plotas – 60 km².[1]

Utenos rajonui priklauso tik dalis Luknos upelio aukštupio. Jo ištakos – Baltučių kaimo apylinkės, plytinčios į pietvakarius nuo Pakalnių. Srūva pamiškėmis ir palaukėmis vakarų kryptimi iki Skiemonių, vietomis ištiesinta vaga dirbamuose laukuose. Toliau krypsta į šiaurės vakarus, žemupyje kerta kelią A6 Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis , už kurio raizgosi natūralia vaga. Įteka į Nevėžos ežerą jo vakariniame krante.
Gyvenvietės prie Luknos: Paluknis, Remeikiai, Skiemonys, Čivyliškis. Hidrologinis kodas – 12210774.[2]
Upėvardis kildinamas nuo žodžių luknas („kurio ragai eina į šalis“), lukniuoti („liumpėti, būti klampiam“). Bendresnė šaknies lukn- reikšmė galėjo būti „lenkti, linkti“ iš to – „klimpti, glebti“ (plg. latv. lukns „lankstus“, lukt „lėpti, glebti“)[3].
