Tōhoku[1] (Iaponice 東北地方 Tōhoku-Chihō), est geographica Iaponiae regio, quae in parte septentrioni Honsuae, maximae insulae Iaponiensis, constat. Regioni sunt sex praefecturae (Iaponice 県 ken): Aomoria (青森 Aomori), Ivatea (岩手 Iwate), Miyagi (宮城 Miyagi), Akita (秋田 Akita), Iamagata (山形 Yamagata), et Fukusima (福島 Fukushima). Pars regionis traditionalis Rituryō (律令制) Michinoku (みちのく)[2] quoque appellatur, solum Fukushima, Aomori, Ivatea, et Miyagi comprehendens. Numerus habitantium anno 2008 fuit 9 708 257. Sendaium in Miyagi est maxima regionis urbs. Exitiabilis calamitas terrae motus, temeritas nuclearis et megacyma occidentale latus admodum die 11 Martii 2011 adflictavit.
