Azoth, azoch, azoc (indecl. n.) vel azothum (-i, n.) (a nomine Arabico الزّئبق az-zāʾūq, a Persico ژیوک žīwak (hodie ژیوه žīwah vel جیوه ǧīwah), i.e. "vivum", sc. "argentum vivum")[1][2][3] in alchemia elementum hydrargyrum notat.
