Ananas (nomen genericum a Philippo Miller anno 1754 statutum; verbum origine Tupí) est genus plantarum florentium familiae Bromeliacearum, notissimus ob speciem Ananas comosus, cuius fructus est flavus dulcisque. Ananas in meridiana terrae parte crescit, et caelo calido et sole directo eget, sine umbra.
