Ahuahu (nomen Maori; Anglice Great Mercury) est illarum insularum quae Mercurii(en) appellantur, Novae Zelandiae tributarum, maxima. In Oceano Pacifico iacet, a litore paeninsulae Coromandel Insulae septentrionalis fere 8 chiliometris distans. Vestigia constituit montis igniferi rhyolitici, ab aevo Pliocaeno dormientis, cuius crater aquis marinis impletur. Ad quam insulam gentes Maori post annum 1200, primi hominum, coloniam duxerunt frugesque sibi familiares, inter quas Colocasiam esculentam, colere inceperunt. Insulam hodie privatim mercatores Michael Fay et David Richwhite possident.
