Xylema (Graece ξύλον 'lignum') est unum ex duobus generibus texturae transportationis in plantis vascularibus, quorum aliud est phloema. Textura xylemosa optime nota est lignum, sed omnes per texturas plantarum invenitur. Suum officium principale est aquam transportare, sed etiam nonnulla nutrimenta per plantam transportat.
