Phlegethon, (Graece Φλεγέθων) sive Pyriphlegethon (Πυριφλεγέθων), est in mythologia flumen quod per Orcum fluit. Flumen ardet, propterea quod non aquam sed ignem portat. Plato dixit Phlegethontem mortuos ex Tartaro trahere quod parentibus non paruissent.[1]
