Gene structure

生物学において、遺伝子（いでんし、英: gene、ギリシア語: γένος）という言葉には2つの意味がある。メンデル遺伝子は、遺伝の基本単位である。分子遺伝子は、DNA内のヌクレオチド配列であり、転写されて機能的なRNAを生成する。この分子遺伝子にはタンパク質コード遺伝子と非コード遺伝子の2種類がある。
