Gekkonidae

ヤモリ科（ヤモリか、守宮科、壁虎科、学名：Gekkonidae）は有鱗目の科の一つ。模式属はヤモリ属。 南極大陸を除く全大陸に分布する。小型種が多いこともあり、漂流物に乗って海洋島に流れ着くなどの広域な分散が行われたと考えられている。有史以後は、貨物に紛れ込んで移動先で定着した例も多いものと考えられている。

Sphaerodactylidae - 約12属210種 ユビワレヤモリ科 Phyllodactylidae - 10属134種 ヤモリ科 Gekkonidae - 約55属1000種 中生代の化石は主にアジア、新生代の化石は主にヨーロッパから産出している。現生科に属しないと考えられる化石属は次のようなものがある。
