Betalaktam-lyf

Betalaktam-lyf eru sýklalyf sem ber beta-laktam-hring. Betalaktam-lyf hafa áhrif á frumuvegg baktería og eru gerlaeyðandi, þ.e. banar bakteríum (sjá hins vegar gerlaheftandi). Af þeim má nefna undirflokkana penisillín, cephalosporín, carbapenem og monobactam.
