The Supremes esis muzikala grupo fondita en 1959 e la precipua artisti del ateliero Motown. Dum la yari 1960ma la grupo esis preske tam populara en Usa kam The Beatles.

Lua quar fondinta membri (Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, Florence Ballard, Betty McGlown) komence formacis la grupo "The Primettes" en Detroit. En 1960 Barbara Martin remplasis McGlown, e la grupo signatis kontrato kun Motown sub nova nomo, The Supremes. Martin abandonis la grupo en 1962, e la grupo divenis un trio.

La grupo lansis multa sucesi di soul quale "Where Did Our Love Go", "Stop! In The Name of Love", "You Keep Me Hangin' On", "Love Is Here and Now You're Gone", ed altri. En 1967 la grupo rinomizesis "Diana Ross and The Supremes".
