A 2011-es népszámlálás adatai alapján a község népessége 2058 fő volt, melynek 89,7%-a román, 4,57%-a magyar és 1,51%-a roma.[4] Vallási hovatartozás szempontjából a lakosság 82,56%-a ortodox, 6,2%-a görög rítusú római katolikus, 2,48%-a református, 2,04%-a a Keresztyén Testvérgyülekezet tagja és 1,46%-a római katolikus.[5]
