रूस एक संघ है जो प्रशासन के लिए 83 संघीय खंडों में बांटा गया है, जिनमें से 9 क्राय (रूसी: край) का रुतबा रखते हैं। "क्राय" का अर्थ "इलाक़ा" होता है और यह कभी असंगठित सीमावर्ती इलाक़े हुआ करते थे जिनका नाम चला आ रहा है।
