ન્યુઝિલેન્ડ વાયવ્ય પ્રશાંત મહાસાગરમાં બે મોટા ટાપુઓ અને અન્ય ઘણાં નાના ટાપુઓથી બનેલો દેશ છે. ન્યુઝિલેન્ડની ૪૦ લાખની વસ્તીમાંથી ૩૦ લાખ લોકો ઉત્તરીય ટાપુ પર રહે છે અને ૧૦ લાખ લોકો દક્ષિણી ટાપુ પર રહે છે. આની ગણના વિશ્વના સૌથી મોટા દ્વીપમાં થાય છે અન્ય દ્વીપોમાં ખૂબ ઓછા લોકો રહે છે અને તે દ્વીપો ખૂબ નાના છે.
