• જગતભરના જ્ઞાની લોકોથી લખાયેલ વિકિપીડિયા એક ખરેખર મુક્ત વિશ્વજ્ઞાનકોશ છે જેને જ્યાં પણ યોગ્ય લાગે ત્યાં સુધારી શકાય છે.
• વિકિપીડિયા:ગુજરાતીમાં કેવી રીતે ટાઇપ કરવું એ જોઈને થોડો મહાવરો કરવાથી આ જ્ઞાનકોશમાં આપ ફેરફાર કરી શકશો.
• સૌથી પહેલાં આપનો પરિચય અહીં મારા વિષેમાં આપશો તો વધુ સારું રહેશે, કેમકે તે તમારૂં પોતાનું પાનું છે, તમે ત્યાં ગમે તેટલા પ્રયોગો કરી શકો છો અને તમારા વિષે તમને જે યોગ્ય લાગે તે અન્ય વિકિપીડિયનોને જણાવી શકો છો. આ માટે સભ્ય પાનાંની નીતિ જોઇ લેવા વિનંતી છે. તમારી માહિતી વાંચીને અન્યોને તમારો સંપર્ક કયા સંદર્ભે કરવો તેની પણ જાણકારી મળી રહેશે.
• લખવાની શરૂઆત કરતા પહેલા આ નીતિ વિષયક લેખો: નિષ્પક્ષ દૃષ્ટિકોણ, પ્રારંભિક સંશોધન નહીં અને ચકાસણીયોગ્યતા તથા વિકિપીડિયા:વાચકો દ્વારા વારંવાર પૂછાતા સવાલો વાંચી જુઓ જેથી આપે આગળ કેવી રીતે વધવું તેનો ખ્યાલ આવી શકે.
• આપને લાગે કે સારા લખાણને ફેરફાર કરવાથી નુકસાન થશે તો ચર્ચા વિભાગમાં જઈ ફેરફાર કરો. આપે ક્યાં અને શું ફેરફાર કરેલ છે એની નોંધ જોઇ આપને આત્મસંતોષ થશે.
• ફેરફાર કરવા માટે લોગ ઈન (પ્રવેશ) કરવું જરૂરી નથી, પણ લોગ ઈન કરીને કાર્ય કરવાથી એની બરોબર નોંધ થાય છે. એટલે વિકિપીડિયા ઉપર હમેશાં લોગ ઇન કરીને જુઓ અને આપના જ્ઞાનનો લાભ બીજાને પણ આપો.
• નવો લેખ શરૂ કરતાં પહેલા, મુખપૃષ્ઠ પર શોધોમાં શબ્દ ટાઇપ કરીને શોધી જુઓ, અને જો આપને ચોક્કસ જોડણીની માહિતી ના હોય તો જુદી જુદી જોડણી વડે શબ્દ શોધીને પાકી ખાત્રી કર્યા બાદ જ નવો લેખ શરૂ કરવા વિનંતી.
• ક્યાંય પણ અટવાઓ કે મૂંઝાઓ તો નિ:સંકોચ મારો (નીચે લખાણને અંતે સમય અને તારીખનાં પહેલાં લખેલા નામ પર ક્લિક કરીને) કે અન્ય પ્રબંધકોનો સંપર્ક કરશો અને જો ત્યાંથી પણ આપને જવાબ ન મળે તો ચોતરા પર જઈને અન્ય સભ્યોને પૂછવા માટે નવી ચર્ચા ચાલુ કરી શકો છો. ચર્ચાના પાને લખાણ કર્યા પછી અંતે (--~~~~) ટાઈપ કરી અથવા પર ક્લિક કરી અને આપની સહી કરવાનું ભૂલશો નહિ.

தமிழ்க்குரிசில், I translated the table in Gujarati. It more parametres are added than it would be better. I have not translated numbers too. Numbers in Gujarati are written differently. I also suggest to add information in Wikidata as it is central repository and all Wikipedia will be able draw info from it in future. I suggest text instead of tables. See w:en:Palitana#Demographics. Example: As of 2011 India census, Palitana had a population of 175,456 in 456 households. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Palitana has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher/lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 57%. In Palitana, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. To add such text, percentage should be counted and some more mathematics needed. Household numbers and below 6 age people are good. Members of the Wikimedia community have the opportunity to elect four candidates to a three-year term. After a three-week-long Call for Candidates, there are 20 candidates for the 2021 election.

Indic Wiki Improve-a-thon 2022

Dear Wikimedian, Glad to inform you that CIS-A2K is going to conduct an event, Indic Wiki improve-a-thon 2022, for the Indic language. It will run from 15 December to 5 January 2023. It will be an online activity however if communities want to organise any on-ground activity under Improve-a-thon that would also be welcomed. The event has its own theme Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatosav which is based on a celebration of the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence. The event will be for 20 days only. This is an effort to work on content enrichment and improvement. We invite you to plan a short activity under this event and work on the content on your local Wikis. The event is not restricted to a project, anyone can edit any project by following the theme. The event page link is here. The list is under preparation and will be updated soon. Women's Month Datathon on Commons

Dear Wikimedian,

Hope you are doing well. CIS-A2K and CPUG have planned an online activity for March. The activity will focus on Wikimedia Commons and it will begin on 21 March and end on 31 March 2023. During this campaign, the participants will work on structure data, categories and descriptions of the existing images. We will provide you with the list of the photographs that were uploaded under those campaigns, conducted for Women’s Month.

Image Description Month in India Campaign

A2K has conducted an online activity or campaign which is an ongoing Image Description Month in India description-a-thon, a collaborative effort known as Image Description Month. Throughout this event, our focus remains centered on three primary areas: Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons.
