O Taipei 101 (en chinés: 臺北101 / 台北101), con 509 metros (1 671 ft), é o segundo maior rañaceos do mundo tras o Burj Khalifa. O predio, inaugurado en decembro de 2004, cuxa construción foi iniciada en 2001, localízase en Taipei, Taiwán, posúe 101 andares e a súa estrutura flexíbel está inspirada no formato dun bambú, pois, na cultura chinesa, esta planta é utilizada en varias construcións por ser resistente e flexíbel. O seu arquitecto foi C. Y. Lee.

O Taipei 101 pode soportar terremotos de 7 graos na escala de Richter e ventos de máis de 450 km/h. A importante capacidade de absorción desta estrutura consiste nun amortecedor eólico con placas metálicas de 660 toneladas que está instalado no andar 89, este é o maior e máis pesado mundialmente. Está dividido en 8 segmentos de 8 pisos, e é o único amortecedor que está visíbel ao público en xeral.
Unha xigante bóla de ferro, de 680 toneladas, colocada no andar 92, serve de contrapeso mecánico contra as vibracións, absorbendo a enerxía e minimizando as oscilacións.
O elevador fabricado pola empresa Toshiba ten o título de maior velocidade: en apenas 37 segundos, leva 30 persoas do 5º andar até o 89º, e iso non é todo, este elevador tamén posúe un sistema de selamento hermético similar ao dun avión, que protexe os oídos das persoas que viaxan nel.
