Ba é an Fear Ionaid ionadaí an mhonairc agus ceannaire fheidhmeannas na hÉireann faoi riail Shasana, le linn Thiarnas na hÉireann agus ansin Ríocht na hÉireann. Rinne sé ionadaí roimh 1523 d'Fhear Ionaid an Rí in Éirinn.[1]
