Modern Jazz Quartet

Modern Jazz Quartet (MJQ) oli yhdysvaltalainen bebop- ja cool jazz -yhtye. Yhtyeen perustivat vuonna 1952 pianisti John Lewis, vibrafonisti Milt Jackson, basisti Percy Heath ja rumpali Kenny Clarke. Lewis, Jackson ja Clarke olivat soittaneet aiemmin yhdessä Dizzy Gillespien taustalla. Modern Jazz Quartet hajosi vuonna 1974 Jacksonin erottua. Yhtye palasi yhteen vuonna 1981, esiintyen ja levyttäen aina vuoteen 1993 saakka.
