Mercury-Redstone 3 (MR-3, lento tunnetaan myös nimellä Freedom 7[1]) oli Yhdysvaltojen ensimmäinen miehitetty avaruuslento ja osa Mercury-ohjelmaa. Se toteutui 5. toukokuuta 1961. Astronautti Alan Shepard kävi 183,3 kilometrin korkeudella. Lento kesti 15 minuuttia ja 28 sekuntia.[1]

Lento oli siis pelkkä hyppy avaruuteen, koska Redstone-kantoraketti ei ollut kyllin voimakas nostamaan alusta kiertoradalle. Se onkin historian lyhin avaruuslento.
