Lastukoski on kylä Nilsiässä, sen itäpuolella, Syvärin ja Vuotjärven välissä olevan Lastukosken ja sen viereisen Lastukosken kanavan ympärillä. Lastukoski käsittää Lastukosken ja Lastulahden kylät. Lastulahden eteläpuolella on Vuotjärven kylä. Kanavalta on noin 11 kilometriä Nilsiän keskustaan ja runsas 60 kilometriä Kuopion keskustaan.
Alkujaan nimenomaan koski ja kanava on tunnettu Lastukoskena (asiakirjoissa Lastakoski (1415) ja Lastukoski (1758)), ja sen länsipuolelta on tunnettu Lastulahden kyläkunta (Lastulax, 1752).[1] Koski on tunnettu kalastuskohde. Lastukoski on ollut varhainen rajapaikka Hämeen ja Savon nautinta-alueille.[1]
Alueen keskeisin maantie on Kantatie 75, jonka osuus Lastukosken lähistöllä kulkee nimellä Nurmeksentie. Lastukosken kanava on Väyläviraston hoidossa oleva, itsepalveluna käytettävissä oleva 350 metriä pitkä sulkukanava.[2][3]
Monet peruspalvelut on nykyisin haettava Nilsiän keskustasta. Säyneistentien varressa Vuotjärven rannassa on uimarannalla Lastukosken-Kylät ry:n vuonna 2014 pystyttämä kota, kesäteatteri rekvisiittoineen, yhdistyksen oma rakennus, hiekkaranta ja laituri. [ ] Lastukoskella toiminut Gasthaus Lastulahti meni konkurssiin joulukuussa 2016.[4] Myös Lastubuoti lopetti vuonna 2018 koskikahvionsa, josta aiemmin myytiin paikalla tehtyjä ruokaa, virvokkeita, käsityötuotteita ja kalastuslupia.
Nähtävyyksiin kuuluu Lastukosken itäpuolella sijaitseva Pisa-vuori, jonka huipulle, 270,6 metriin merenpinnasta, rakennettiin uusi, teräksinen näkötorni vuosina 2013-2014.[5][6][7][2]
