Suomen Tukholman-instituutti (Finlandsinstitutet) Ruotsissa toimiva instituutti, joka tekee tunnetuksi suomalaista nykykulttuuria, edistää kulttuuri- ja tiedevaihtoa maiden välillä sekä esittelee suomalaista yhteiskuntakeskustelua, historiaa, politiikkaa ja talouselämää sekä suurelle yleisölle että tutkimusyhteisölle.[1]
Instituuttia hallinnoi säätiö Stiftelsen Finlands kulturinstitut i Sverige. Instituutin toiminnan piiriin kuuluvia aloja ovat elokuva, kirjallisuus, musiikki ja teatteri. Se järjestää näyttelyjä ja seminaareja.[2]
Instituutin toimitilat ovat 1896–1898 rakennetussa talossa, jonka on suunnitellut arkkitehti Johan Laurentz.[3] Talo rakennettiin alkuaan Ruotsin NMKY:lle. Talon osti 1970 Stiftelsen Finlands Hus, josta myöhemmin tuli nykyinen säätiö. Vuonna 1995 säätiö myi naapurissa olevan hotelli Karelian kiinteistön ja julisti arkkitehtikilpailun jäljelle jääneen talon uudistamisesta.[4] GWSK Arkitekter -arkkitehtitoimiston suunnittelemat muutostyöt toteutettiin 1995–1997.[3][4]
Rakennuksessa on neljä maanpäällistä kerrosta ja kaksi maanalaista. Siinä on Suomen instituutin toimitilat, kirjasto, lukusali, näyttelytila ja talvipuutarha. Myös Tukholman Suomalaisen Seuran toimitilat ovat samassa rakennuksessa.[4]
