Charles John Stanley (17. tammikuuta 1712 Lontoo – 19. toukokuuta 1786 Lontoo) oli brittiläinen säveltäjä ja urkuri.[1]
Stanley sokeutui 2- tai 3-vuotiaana. Hän opiskeli Maurice Greenen johdolla ja pääsi 11- tai 12-vuotiaana urkuriksi lontoolaiseen kirkkoon.[1][2] Stanley sai kandidaatin arvon musiikissa Oxfordin yliopistosta vuonna 1729 ja pääsi Inner Templen urkuriksi vuonna 1734. Hän meni naimisiin vuonna 1738.[1] Vuonna 1779 Stanley seurasi William Boycea kuninkaan muusikoiden yhtyeen mestarina[1] ja vuonna 1782 hän pääsi Chapel Royalin urkuriksi.[2]
Stanley johti Georg Friedrich Händelin oratorioiden esityksiä tämän elämän viimeisen vuosikymmenen aikana[1] ja jatkoi niitä Händelin kuoltua John Christopher Smithin kanssa.[2] Säveltäjänä Stanleyn on kuvailtu edustaneen Händelin tyyliä tai Händelin ja Johann Christian Bachin välistä siirtymävaihetta.[1] Hän sävelsi oratoriot Jephtha (1757), Zimri (1760) ja The Fall of Egypt (1774). Hänen tuotantoonsa kuuluu myös muun muassa konserttoja, huilusonaatteja ja soolourkuteoksia.[2]
