Bokken (jap. 木剣 : bokken / 木刀 : bokutō) ("puumiekka") on puusta valmistettu harjoittelumiekka, joka on muotoiltu japanilaisen yksiteräisen, kaarevan miekan, katanan mukaan. Bokkenit ovat käytössä harjoittelumiekkoina japanilaisissa taistelu- ja budōlajien harjoituksissa, kuten esimerkiksi kenjutsussa, aikidossa sekä iaidossa.
Bokkenia ei pidä sekoittaa shinaihin, joka on bambumiekka jota käytetään kendossa harjoituksissa. Kendossakin bokkenia kyllä käytetään kendo kata- ja perustekniikoiden kihon-harjoitteluun.
Bokkeneita on eri tyyppejä;
Bokken on yhtä vanha kuin muutkin japanilaiset miekat, ja niitä käytettiin harjoittelumiekkana. Bokken voi kuitenkin olla myös tappava ase; Maa, vesi, tuli, tuuli ja tyhjyys -kirjan kirjoittanut kenjutsumestari Miyamoto Musashi tuli tunnetuksi muun muassa siitä, että hän taisteli täysin varustautuneita vastustajia vastaan pelkästään yhdellä tai kahdella bokkenilla varustautuneena.
Bokken on harjoittelumiekka, jota käytetään koska se on teräsmiekkaan verrattuna turvallisempi käyttää. Iaidossa bokkenia käytetään alkeistasolla, kun harjoittelijalla ei ole käytössään iaitoa tai hän ei vielä ole saavuttanut tasoa, jossa metallinen iaito olisi harjoittelussa turvallinen. Joissakin katoissa, jotka suoritetaan kontaktissa, veteraani-iaidokatkin voivat käyttää bokkenia turvallisuussyistä. Myös muissa lajeissa, kuten kenjutsussa, aikidossa ja ninjutsussa bokkeneita käytetään harjoituksissa.
