Khyber ataka[1] (urduz: درۂ خیبر; persieraz: تنگه خیبر) Safed Koh eta Kachmund mendiak (Hindu Kush mendilerroaren hego-ekialdea) zeharkatzen dituen haitzartea da. 58 kilometro luze da eta toki estuenean 15,85 m zabal. Afganistan eta Pakistanen arteko igarobide garrantzitsuenetako bat da, Jalalabad eta Kabul hiriak Peshawar-ekin lotzen baititu. Gaur egun Pakistanen esku dago.

1879an errepide bat egin zen Khyber atakan zehar, eta 1925ean trenbidea. Azken hau eraikitzea lan gaitza izan zen: 34 tunel eta 92 zubi egin behar izan ziren eta 2 milioi libera esterlina baino gehiago kostatu zen. Igarobidearen hasiera Jamrudeko gotorlekuan (517 m) dago, Peshawarretik 18 km mendebaldera, eta Landi Kotal (1067 m) da punturik garaiena. Handik 8 kilometrora Torkham hiria dago, Pakistan eta Afganistanen arteko mugan.
Leku estrategikoa izan da historian zehar. Hemendik igaro ziren iparraldetik edo mendebaldetik Indiako azpikontinentea inbaditzera zihoazen gehienak: pertsiarrak, greziarrak, mongoldarrak eta britainiarrak.
